The practice of roping a bull by the horns and releasing him to the streets to be abused by hundreds of humans, for between a couple of hours and a couple of days, is very popular all around Spain.
Mostly known as Toro Enmaromados, this abuse practice is popular in the autonomous of Aragon, Navarra, La Rioja, Basque Country, "anti-bullfighting" Catalonia, Valencia and especially in Castile and León and Andalusia. Each community uses its own fiesta or saint patron as an excuse for abuse. Each with its own version.

The most famous event is held every June before the Corpus Christi fiesta in the municipality Benavente of the province of Zamora in Castile y León.
Dozens of thousands come to the weeklong festival to watch and participate in the various bull abuse events.
