The following is the last part of our
critical review of Steven Pinker’s theory of a historical decline in violence, in which we further discuss the part of the book where Pinker finally addresses violence towards nonhuman animals in a sub-chapter called Animal Rights and the Decline of Cruelty to Animals. Pinker vainly tries to make the ever-growing violence aimed against nonhumans, fit his overall theory of decline in violence, by manipulating half trues and presenting anecdotes.
